The screw is screwed in from the rear. The toothing of the collar absorbs the tightening torque.

The knurling on the shank of the nut digs itself into the mounting material when it is pushed in and creates a mechanical form fit that can absorb even high torques.
Method and principle
Self-riveting nuts are characterized by a knurl on the rivet side / on a shaft with a reduced diameter. This can be pulled into a component via axial compression – using a press-in tool or the force exerted during installation. The established form fit ensures subsequent one-sided installation and enables the absorption of high torques.
