Cooperation between Quelle comprehensive school and Böllhoff
On 17 December 2024, the Quelle comprehensive school from Bielefeld and Böllhoff signed an official cooperation agreement.
Collaboration officially sealed as part of the "Kooperation IHK-Schule-Wirtschaft" project ("Cooperation Chamber of Industry and Commerce-School-Economy")
The aim of the ‘IHK-Schule-Wirtschaft’ cooperation agreement, launched by the Bielefeld Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), is to strengthen the network between schools and local companies. In fact, Böllhoff and the Quelle comprehensive school have already been working together on projects for several years now. However, the cooperation agreement formalises and expands this collaboration.
A win-win situation for everyone involved
The cooperation was officially sealed with a signature at Böllhoff’s headquarters in Bielefeld-Brackwede. As a result, further joint projects will be developed between the Quelle comprehensive school from Bielefeld and Böllhoff in the future. These will, for example, provide the students of the Quelle comprehensive school with direct insights into practice in a modern industrial company. The young people will benefit from this, as will Böllhoff as a company, which will be able to engage with the talent of tomorrow at an early stage.
At the same time, the cooperation also enriches the pedagogical work of the school, says Kirsten Bergmann, headmistress of the Quelle comprehensive school. This is because the cooperation brings practical experience and new perspectives into the classroom – perspectives that would otherwise not be possible in everyday school life.

Agreement as a starting point for further cooperations
The cooperation agreement between the Quelle comprehensive school from Bielefeld and Böllhoff was the ninth agreement of its kind of the East-Westphalia Chamber of Industry and Commerce in 2024, and the 268th IHK cooperation between schools and companies overall.
In addition to this cooperation, Böllhoff plans to establish similar partnerships with other schools in the future – and to implement individual concepts with them as well. The Böllhoff Education Campus, a state-of-the-art training and further education centre at the company's Bielefeld site, will provide the perfect setting for these kinds of partnerships when it opens in mid-May 2025.
