Bringing joy together
The magic of Christmas lies in the small gestures of kindness and the desire to bring joy to others. At the Böllhoff sites in Bielefeld and La Ravoire, employees had the opportunity to give a little Christmas cheer to people in need as part of Christmas initiatives.
Second Wishing Tree event in Bielefeld
In cooperation with the German Red Cross (GRC), a Christmas tree was set up in front of the staff restaurant for the second year in a row. The tree was filled with wishes from people in need, which Böllhoff employees were able to fulfil. In the first year, all the wishes were fulfilled after just two days, so it quickly became clear that the initiative would be continued and become an integral part of the Employer Branding, Health and Social Affairs team's pre-Christmas projects.
An expression of solidarity and empathy
A total of 70 wishes from various departments of the German Red Cross were collected and fulfilled in 2024 to bring joy to people in disadvantaged circumstances. The wishes came from people who are often on the margins of society and are therefore supported by the GRC. They include people from integration assistance, children with psychomotor development disorders, from open all-day school care and people from dementia residential groups. For Böllhoff employees in Bielefeld, the wish tree is a wonderful opportunity to make the Christmas season a little brighter for these people in need.

Toy donations for ‘Les Restos du Cœur’ in La Ravoire
For the second year in a row, our site in La Ravoire, France, supported a collection initiative for well-preserved and no longer needed children's toys at Christmas 2024 - initiated by the association ‘Les Restos du Cœur’. This association has set itself the goal of helping those in need. Thanks to numerous volunteers and donors, ‘Les Restos du Cœur’ distributes millions of meals every year. The organisation also initiates campaigns to improve the daily lives of families - such as this toy collection for children in need.
Many employees at the Böllhoff site in La Ravoire responded to the call for donations and donated toys in good condition. And thus gave a moment of joy at Christmas in the form of stuffed animals, games, books and puzzles.
