Construction work started for Böllhoff Education Campus
Construction of our new training and further education centre in Bielefeld began with the demolition of old production halls.
Investing in the training and further education of our employees
The excavators are rolling at our headquarters in Bielefeld. A state-of-the-art training and further education centre, the Böllhoff Education Campus, is being built on the factory premises on Archimedesstrasse. The major investment worth 5 million euros is scheduled for completion in autumn 2024, just in time for the start of the new apprentices at Böllhoff.
A future-oriented project at a location deeply rooted in Böllhoff history
At the start of the construction phase, historic production halls were first demolished to make room for the new building. These halls have a special significance within our company’s history. After all, the exact location where the Education Campus will take shape in the coming months is where we as a company first started producing fasteners in 1958.
Our Bielefeld production facility for HELICOIL® thread inserts was still located in these halls until 2019. Then, HELICOIL® production was relocated to newly renovated halls around 2 kilometres away, leaving the historic production halls at Archimedesstrasse mostly empty.

The Böllhoff Education Campus: an investment into the future
Our Böllhoff Education Campus is planned to be a state-of-the-art training and further education centre - with the aim of creating an open world of learning and further education for apprentices, students and employees.
The new building will combine technical training workshops with modern training and communication rooms on around 1,600 m². Open spaces are supposed to promote dialogue and thus facilitate synergies. A smart factory laboratory for networking and robotics is also planned, as well as a joining technology forum. The latter is intended to make Böllhoff products tangible for schoolchildren, students, and guests, for example as part of hands-on events and product training.
We are investing around 5 million euros into this new building at our headquarters in Bielefeld. Completion of the Education Campus is planned for autumn 2024, just in time for the start of the new apprentices at Böllhoff.
