ECOBin wins the German Design Award 2020
Our innovative bin system for C-Parts management.
German Design Award 2020
It is now official: Our modular ECOBin system has won the German Design Award 2020 in the category "Excellent Communications Design". The German Design Council (Rat für Formgebung) awarded the prize on 7 February 2020 in Frankfurt am Main at the Ambiente 2020 Trade Fair. Every year, products with particularly high design quality are honoured with the German Design Award.
The high functionality of the new bin series was what the jury found particularly convincing
Transparent access flaps allow the bins to be freely placed on the shelf, the rounded inner edges of the bin ensure effortless withdrawal of the C-Parts from the bin. In addition, with its special waffle floor, the three available bin sizes can be stacked together, stable and secure. The innovative bin system was developed in collaboration with the UTZ Group, a leading manufacturer of plastic containers for modern reusable logistics.
The modular ECOBins are the heart of our RFID-controlled ECOSIT® supply system. With this logistics service package we take charge of the entire supply chain for our customers, from materials planning right through to the production line. High security of supply can be combined with reduced procurement costs.

The competition
The German Design Award is the international premium award given by the German Design Council. The German Design Award is one of the world's most widely recognised design competitions. The more than 5,400 submissions to the German Design Award 2019 again demonstrated pleasing growth. Products and projects from 63 countries were submitted, international submissions increased to 54 percent.

Currently more than 300 companies support its work. The Council was founded in 1953 on the initiative of the German Bundestag to support and enhance the design expertise of German industry.
